In some occasions in order for students to benefit from the experience in Bulgaria it will be essential that their level of English is of a high standard.
They will be expected to be able to understand others and speak reasonably good English. The work placement is conditional on this factor as Atlas Nova will not accept responsibility for any inability to participate because the level of English is not sufficiently good enough. English Language training is available before undertaking the work placement and we recommend this is considered. English courses are held by specialized teachers in Foreign Languages.
We also provide Bulgarian language courses, which are taught by Bulgarian native teachers specialized in teaching English or Bulgarian as a second language.
Accommodation is also arranged as part of the package. Trainees are usually accommodated in comfortable flats shared with other students.
All apartments are fully equipped and students receive a weekly pocket money for food costs. In some occasions students will be accommodated in hotels.
Hotels provide only a room and breakfast. It does not include other meals or laundry, which need to be paid for separately. Over the years, we have developed good relationships with a range of hotels of various categories.
Atlas Nova organizes the trainee’s transfer from and to the Sofia airport at arrival and departure.
Trainees are provided with weekly or monthly local transport passes to reach their school and work placement companies.
All work placements will have a job description and all the information referring to the implementation of the work placement is communicated by e-mail, fax and telephone.
Monitoring and support will be given on a weekly basis by a tutor within each work placement. The tutors of the host organisations and the students fill in an intermediate and a final questionnaire to analyse all the aspects related to the work placements (tasks, skills, etc.).
A supervisor from Atlas Nova takes care of the trainees during the whole training period. Each trainee will be provided with a host company tutor as well. In this way a constant control of the activities is guaranteed. Then, the host company tutor and the trainee fill in an evaluation questionnaire to analyse all aspects related to the work placement, in the middle and at the end of the training period.
Parallel to the project there are socio-cultural activities organised and carried out by Atlas Nova.
Visits:
Provided they have successfully completed the language course and work placement, trainees will be certified by Atlas Nova.
Atlas Nova will cooperate actively with the sending organisation in all procedures for issuing the Europass certificate. Final Report on CD Format.
Atlas Nova prepares a final report which contains all the information regarding the trainees‘ stay in Bulgaria.
